My blood is clean, but the devil's in me.

i miss you, LSD.
I never saw so many colors leak from a dead black sky
didn't bother to ask why...

figured it must be chemical

Winnipeg skyline
dancing copper at it's edges
flecks of silver, cyclonic
from the veins of Joseph, a technicolor maelstrom
150-screened eyes, fascinated, never wry
ozone tastes thick as I swallow the storm

I swallow the rainbow storm whole
all that should remain
one million shades of grey

it seems my calculations were miscalculated
a bright new world explodes before me
pigmentum pyrobolus
cerulean shrapnel, slowed to a snails charm
as if time itself has asserted a gravity
hum of these whirring blues, ambient pulses
periwinkle, cobalt, sapphire
the most delicate flowers I've ever seen
floating just out of reach
distilled in the infinity...

below these petals of otherworldly magnificence
a void in reality, a pond of fluorescence
my physical body ceases to be
standing on the emerald pool... pure energy
weightlessness, a visual wonder
chartreuse ripples where the water is disturbed...
this disturbance, this anamoly
hands of linen, stained beryl with purity
the ink of psychedelic absolution
a most gentle touch, a kelly breath
my metabeing spirals slowly
my path, 360, revolution, revelation
viridian lips kiss nature farewell...

in the wake of stained fingers, evaporating
a light mist of mauve lingers
fragrance of lilac and lavender
I cannot help but smile; the vapor smiles back
it's pure intentions spelled out in magenta
a language of unspoken beauty, unwritten perplexity
every word, every tongue...
violet...

furthercloserfuther
closer examination reveals
the pool upon which I float is nay a pool at all
but a vast ocean, calm in it's forever depths
vermilion coy with tails trimmed in titian, flow
as if soulbound to the current, inches 'neath my feet
such marvelous beings, I cannot help but stare
jaw hung open, awed...
in the near-distance, narwhal surface
scarlet of body, golden of horn
mild waves around them, a mellow tint of carmine
words could never express my gratitude to these perfect creatures for gracing me
   with their evanescence
as their regal bodies dissolve
melting into the vast, forming bubbles held in stasis
rubbing my multifaceted eyes, I lost sight of them
momentarily
as my gazes reaffix themselves
I see that these are nay pockets of timeless air,
but crimson rhizostomae, waltzing flawlessly in their antiquity...

Winnipegskyline
a moonbow streaks across the horizon
all color drained, Josephs legacy consumed
I remain, enlightened...
serenity...

figured it must be chemical.
